Royal blue sweatshirts or cardigan with school logo          

White polo shirt

Dark grey or black leggings or jogging bottoms

Velcro trainers                                                

In Nursery, your child will come into school wearing PE kit on their allocated day.

Please provide a small, named drawstring bag with spare clothes to be kept in school.

Reception – Year 6 Children

Royal blue sweatshirt or cardigan with school logo      

White shirt, blouse or polo top 

Dark grey trousers, shorts, skirt or pinafore dress.  Blue and white checked or striped dresses can also be worn in the summer term.

All black footwear 

Grey, black or white socks or tights

PE - Reception – Year 6 

Indoor PE     White T-shirt (school logo optional), dark blue/black shorts.

Outdoor PE White T-shirt (school logo optional), dark blue/black shorts, trainers. In addition, in cold weather, please provide a warm sweatshirt and jogging trousers preferably in school colours, navy blue or black. 

Children wear PE kit to school on their allocated PE days.

Please note:

• Sweatshirts and cardigans can be worn without a school logo but should be royal blue 
• Open-toe sandals should not be worn.                     
• Long hair should be tied back, with a plain dark band (no other hair accessories). 
• Children should not have “extreme” hairstyles.  No shorter than No. 3, no spiking and no hair gel.
• Jewellery should not be worn to school other than plain small earring studs and/or a plain watch.  For safety reasons, all jewellery (watches and earrings) should be removed for PE/Swimming Lessons.  

Pre-loved Uniform

Pre-loved uniform can be ordered from the PTA. 
Please email PTA@thorngrove.herts.sch.uk with your order or speak to Miss Fox or Mrs Baulsom in the school office.
Order forms are also available in the school entrance area.  

 ALL SCHOOL UNIFORM SHOULD BE CLEARLY LABELLED WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME
